When Southwest Airlines® was launching its new, flexible all-in-one vacation booking platform, Getaways by Southwest™, we knew we’d need to activate in a big way. And when we saw how staggering the PTO crisis was in America, the answer became simple: Inspire people to get away by showing them how fun and flexible planning can be.

In a world where younger generations find planning trips stressful and fewer Americans are taking time off work they desperately need, Paradise Portals brought the joy of vacation back to life by showing just how simple the new Getaways by Southwest platform can make planning your next vacation.

We invited people to step up to our larger-than-life portals to select a traveler. Then, we sent them packing in an interactive game—all while learning about the flexible policies that make Getaways by Southwest stand out amongst the crowd.

Each game transported people to a dreamy destination, and after playing, travelers were invited to enter for a chance to win a vacation—and bring their getaway to life.

Each game played reminded people that they deserve time off and inspired them to get the most out of their next getaway. After all, vacation’s more fun when it’s flexible.
